Potters for Pets: a night of Critters, Clay and Chardonnay – was very worth the trip to Bowling Green on Saturday night. My friend and I took a trip out to the Manabigama Pottery Center on Bishop Road in BG. The event featured live music, a pottery silent auction, wine and refreshments – all intermingled with Northwest Ohio’s most talented ceramic artists and their gorgeous art work. All art work was for sale or auction – ceramic eye candy was everywhere. 100% of the auction proceeds and 30% of all other sales went to the Wood County Humane Society and Nature’s Nursery. It was a great night for a great cause!
I loved everything about the Manabigama Pottery Center from the second we pulled into the parking lot. The building is so original and it is adorned with Ceramic letters and ceramic accents. Inside were wood burning kilns and piles of wood everywhere. Then, of course, there was art, ART EVERYWHERE! There was jewelry, pots, bowls, plates, vases, everything from magnets to faux fruit. Everywhere I looked there were people buying and selling art. People were there with their animals, and one person even had an owl – it was really a cool atmosphere and from what I could see, they raised a lot money for our local animals in need – I give the event 5 out of 5 stars!
